Great Work Guys!

A Different Type of Champion
As most of you know by now, Thursday March 24, had a chance of being a very bleak day for the Kirkwood Judo Club. However fate was on our side, and the fire that occurred in the apartment above the Dojo was contained, and our damage was limited to a little smoke, and water. Thankfully, the matswere saved. However the mat and the platform upon which it rests had to be taken apart, so that it could be properly cleaned, and allowed to thoroughly dry.

On Tuesday the 29th we were given the go ahead to put the mat back together, and the group pictured above wasted no time in making thathappen.

Oh behalf of Chief Instructor Sensei Tom Kuhne, myself, and all of the members and instructors of the Kirkwood Judo Club I would like to thank these gentleman for giving so generously of their time and effort. Thanks to you we were back in business after only one night of work, and classes resumed as scheduled the following evening.

Your contribution to the organization, and our family is duly noted.

Sincerely,

-Sempai Russ Little Kirkwood Judo Club
